Latest Updates (July 14th, 2026)

Hi, everyone! From now on, we'll be using our blog to share general updates, announcements, and other important news.

1. Our webshop chat is currently closed

As many of you have already noticed, our webshop chat inbox is currently closed.

The reason is organizational challenges. At the moment, we are in urgent need of customer service staff, I made the difficult decision to temporarily close the chat.

You can still reach us by email at info@funiki.nl if you have any questions. Please note that our inbox is currently receiving a high volume of emails, so response times are slow!

2. Regarding the company

My life partner and I started Funiki in 2024, and since then we've experienced so many wonderful moments. We've attended fan meets with BL actors, vended at markets and conventions, and had the opportunity to meet so many amazing customers and fellow fans.

At the same time, running a small business has also come with its fair share of challenges.

We've faced returned shipments, delays, staff shortages, and even physical injuries. Despite the number of orders coming in, we're also experiencing financial setbacks.

While these struggles haven't always been visible, they've had a significant impact behind the scenes.

Even so, we've always continued doing our very best to keep everything running. Last month, we began limiting the number of pre-orders available on our website to help reduce the volume of incoming orders. This gave us the opportunity to catch up on our backlog!

However, it is with great sadness that I have to share that my life partner and co-owner will soon be leaving the company. Due to a long-term injury that has unfortunately not improved, they are no longer able to continue their work at Funiki. This means Funiki is down to just me and our brand designer.

Since my partner has been an invaluable part of the team and has handled much of the physical work, I'm looking for someone who can step in, support our small team, and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.

We're also looking for volunteers, interns, or future employees with customer service experience. In addition, we're seeking someone with experience in management, organization, or team leadership who can help strengthen our internal and organisational processes!

3. Regarding pre-order backlog

While we're still experiencing some delays, we're happy to share that we've worked through almost our entire backlog!

With a team of just two people right now, we've shipped over 1800 orders over the past few months and have now reduced our backlog to almost zero. If there are any orders we're unable to fulfill, we'll of course issue a full refund.

If you've sent us an email regarding a delayed pre-order or another urgent question, such as a refund, change of address, or anything else, please know that I'm still working my way through our inbox.
